A rewarding climb
with expansive views

This trailhead in Brownfield gives access to Burnt Meadow Mountain via two complementary routes: the North Peak Trail and the Twin Brook Trail. Together they form a satisfying loop of roughly 3.3–3.6 miles.

The North Peak Trail is the more direct climb to the summit — about 1.9 miles one way with some steep, rocky stretches. The Twin Brook Trail winds back down through quiet forest and along small brooks, making it a perfect counterpoint to the ascent.

Views open up as you approach the summit, revealing rolling ridgelines, distant lakes, and on a clear day, the snow-capped profile of Mount Washington to the northwest. Sturdy footwear and plenty of water are recommended.
